摘　　要：为响应打造东莞市"文化名城"的号召,东莞市高校图书馆拓展其社会服务功能势在必行。分析了东莞高校图书馆服务社会的必要性,探讨了东莞高校图书馆服务社会的有效途径及服务原则。In order to response the call of creating the famous cultural city in Dongguan, it is necessary for university libraries in Dongguan City to broaden its social service function. This paper analyzes the necessity for university libraries in Dongguan City to serve the society, and probes into the effective paths and service principles of serving the society by university libraries in Dongguan City.
