摘　　要：职业名称委婉语是委婉语的一个重要使用领域分支,根据使用动机可将现代汉语职业名称委婉语分为讳卑类、讳丑类和优化类。职业名称委婉语的语用功能主要为协调人际关系,体现社会文明程度,美化职业名称,提升职业地位。Occupational title’s euphemism is a main branch of euphemism.Based on motivation,occupational title’s euphemism in contemporary Chinese can be classified into three types that are the words to avoid lowliness,the words to avoid subterraneous and the words to magnify nice occupations.Occupational title’s euphemisms have pragmatic functions.They are good for interpersonal relationships and social civilization,and are helpful to beautify occupational name and to promote occupational social rank.
