摘 要:我们优化了全息高分子分散型液晶(HPDLC)彩色反射式显示器的材料及制作过程 ,成功地研制出高反射率的快速响应HPDLC。通过选择液晶和高分子材料以及添加表面活性剂 ,使其驱动电压降低了一半。我们还发明了一种扩大HPDLC视角的新技术。叠加红 ,绿 ,蓝三色HPDLC所作出的彩色样品 ,具有迄今为止最宽广的色彩范围。We have carried out experiments to optimize the materials and processes for fabricating holographically formed polymer dispersed liquid crystal (HPDLC)devices.Bright reflective HPDLC displays with peek reflection above 60% have been achieved with fast sub_millisecond τon+τoff switching speed.The switching voltage has been reduced 2 times by selecting appropriate liquid crystal and polymer materials and by the addition of surfactants.The viewing angle of HPDLCs has been extended by a novel fabrication technique.We have fabricated color HPDLC demos by stacking red,green,and blue HPDLC layers and achieved the widest color gamut that has ever been reported for a reflective display.The methods for making these novel color reflective displays and the measured results will be presented.
