摘　　要：本文对英语抒情诗歌中元音模式的象似修辞进行了研究,并对其语用功能进行了定量和定性的分析。结果表明:在具体的诗歌语境下,元音模式的有机组合作为一种艺术手法,被诗人着意使用,它不仅有助于诗歌音美和形美外在形式的构建,而且有助于增补诗歌的内容、深化诗歌的中心思想,达到借音表意、以韵传情的语用目的,即实现了诗歌的意美效果。This paper wrestles with the pragmatic function of vowel patterns＇ iconicity by interpreting the specific English lyr- ics. Quantitative and qualitative research results indicate that in the concrete poetic context vowel patterns＇ iconicity, as an ar- tistic technique intentionally employed by the poet, can enrich the lyric＇ s sound beauty and structure beauty. What＇ s more important is that it is an essential artistic technique to complement the lyric＇ s content and to deepen its theme. In this way the poet＇ s innermost emotions are fully conveyed to the readers and the lyric＇ s sense beauty is achieved.
