摘　　要：本论文主要通过大量例证分析英语头韵修辞现象及其在不同文体中的应用,其目的在于揭示英语中头韵的特有音韵节奏,头韵修辞的丰富多彩,以及头韵的广泛。英语头韵和汉语双声形式类似,但是头韵的应用要广泛得多。尽管可以用其他手段补偿,英语头韵难以译成相同功效的汉语词汇,也很难达到相似的表达效果。This paper illustrates English alliteration and its applications in different genres with numerous examples.The purpose is to disclose English alliteration in terms of its peculiar prosodic patterns,rich and colorful modes,and wide applications.Alliteration constructions are similar to Chinese ＂shuang sheng＂,but have much wider applications.Despite other devices used to make up for the loss in rhyme,alliteration phrases in effect are hard to be expressed in Chinese phonological equivalents.
