摘　　要：文化图式的激活与构建对提高学生的英语阅读能力起着举足轻重的作用。教师在英语阅读教学中,可以采取自我积累法、英汉比较法、交流个人经验法、讨论法、直接讲解法、改述法及开设英美文化课程和文化知识讲座等多种方法来对文化图式进行激活与构建,从而有效地提高学生的英语阅读水平。Activating and creating of cultural schemata plays a prominent role in improving the students＂ English reading ability. Thus in the process of teaching, a teacher should adopt a variety of methods to activate and create cultural schemata, such as accumulation, comparison , exchanging personal experiences, discussion, direct explanation , retelling and opening courses or lectures about British and American culture.
