《红楼梦》中“淇水遗风”之“俗”的深层意蕴

摘  要:《红楼梦》第17—18回写贾政带领众清客及宝玉游览新建成的大观园,贾政以一"俗"字否定了一清客的题匾"淇水遗风",又以"也俗"二字否定了另一清客的"睢园雅迹"。《红楼梦》追求新奇,不落俗套,曹雪芹借贾政之口揭明"淇水遗风"之俗,是以藏而不露的手法褒扬贾政之才。曹雪芹熟悉淇水岸边有无竹子这一学术公案,他不为前人的争论所囿,实际上是借以表达自己的美学观,如果联系曹雪芹爱写竹子,借竹描写环境、刻划人物来看,则会更加清楚。In the 17th and 18th chapters of Dream of the Red Chamber,Jia Zheng showed the visitors and Baoyu around the newly built Grand View Garden while remarking the inscription of the name "Qi Water Legacy" on the plaque as "vulgar",and "Elegant Site of Sui Garden" also as "vulgar".It is obvious that Dream of the Red Chamber pursued novelty and original,and Cao Xueqin expressed his ideas of vulgarity through Jia Zheng's remarks and appreciated his artistic talent with hiding modus.Cao Xueqin was familiar with the academic case that there was no bamboo on Qi water's shore and did not follow the predecessor's argument.In fact,it is a way through which Cao Xueqin can express his own aesthetic views,and if related with Cao Xueqin's interest in writing bamboo and through his descriptions of environment and people,his ideas will be much clearer.
