The objective of the present study was to investigate the effects of a non-starch enzyme preparation on the production performance and the nutrient apparent utilization of broilers. A single factorial experiment with a randomized design was adopted. Three hundred and twenty 1-day-old Cuba male broilers were randomly assigned to 2 treatments based on body weight with 8 replicate cages of 20 broilers. The broilers in treatment 1 was fed with the basal diet, while the broilers in treatment 2 was fed with the basal diet supplemented with the non-starch (NSP) enzyme preparation F at 150 g/t. In treatment 1, the basal diet was the corn-soybean meal diet for the broilers from 1-day-old to 21-day-old and the basal diet was corn-soybean- DDGS meal diet for the broilers from 22-day-old to 42-day-old. All diets were pellets. The present results showed that addition of enzyme preparation F in the corn-soybean meal diet could not improve the production performance and the nutrient apparent utilization, but addition of enzyme preparation F in the corn-soybean-DDGS meal diet could improve the production performance of the broilers at the stage of 22-42d or 1-42d and the nutrient apparent utilization of the broilers at the stage of 22-42d.
