摘　　要：19世纪末,伴随着美国西进运动的结束,美国出现了以特纳为代表的旨在突出边疆研究重要性的边疆学派,以边疆地区为切入点,阐释了边疆之于国家历史构建的重要意义。通过对拉铁摩尔学术生涯的简单梳理以及学术思想的总结,可以看出,拉铁摩尔的边疆研究深受特纳思想影响,但又发展了特纳的学说,使得边疆研究具有更大的学术价值。In the late of 19th century, with the end of the westward movement in the United States, Turner found the “frontier thesis” to emphasize the importance of research on the frontier. From combing and summarizing the academic thought of Lattimore, we can find the similar and difference between Turner and Lattimore. Lattimore not only absorbed Turner＇ thought, but also developed it to make the ＂frontier thesis＂ more valuable.
