摘　　要：对美国华盛顿和中国南京的都市景观演变机制的研究表明,社会制度对都市景观演变机制有重要影响。资本主义国家主要是经济危机在起推动作用,社会主义国家则是国家的大政方针和政策起推动作用。这是两种社会制度的本质所决定的。弄清都市景观演变机制能为解决都市景观存在的问题提供一些依据,为改进都市景观结构和功能提供理论支撑,为探索都市景观的未来发展趋势打下基础。The analysis about urban landscape evolution system between Washington and Nanjing show that social system has the important influence about the landscape evolution. The social system decide that the evolution of capitalistic nation is promoted by the economic crisis, and the socialist nation is promoted by polices. Knowing the landscape evolution system can offer some strength to solve some problems, and the theory support of improving the landscape structure and function, lay a foundation to the future development.
