摘　　要：传统PON无法支持未来通信业务的增长,下一代无源光网络(Next GPON)是理想的解决方案。介绍了一种从PON到下一代GPON的升级方案。针对G/EPON的不同特点,分别采用WDM分光器和引入新OLT的方法来升级。同时保留PON原有设备,既最大程度地节约了设备资源,又使升级过程对PON用户产生较小的干扰。Classical PONs could not meet the demand of fast-growing telecom traffic which makes the Next Generation PON （N GPON） an ideal alternative. This paper introduces a smooth upgrading plan from classical PONs to NG-PON, which is implemented by application of WDM splitter and new OLT respectively, accord- ing to the characteristics of GPON and EPON. The smooth upgrading could save the most optical resources on one hand, while impose the least disturbance on PON users on the other.
