刘开生卒年再考辨

摘　　要：刘开为桐城派大家姚鼐弟子,文名重于一时。有关他的生卒年,存在多种说法。近有学者根据刘开文集中的自述,得出刘开生于乾隆五十四年,卒于道光四年,享年三十六岁的结论。笔者经过考辨,认为文集中的自述是不可信的,刘开生于乾隆四十九年,卒于道光四年,享年四十一岁。Liu Kai is one of the primary disciples of Yao Nai, who is the master of Tongcheng school and famous for his works. There are many different claims about the time of his birth and death. Recently, there were some scholars concluding that Liu Kai was born in 1789 and died in 1824 on the basis of self introduction in Liukai＇s article. However, I believe that Liu Kai＇s self intro duction was unreliable after my research, in which the author concludes that Liu kai was born in 1784 and died in 1824.
