摘　　要：美国传教士亮乐月是西方来华女传教士的代表。她不仅创办了第一份中文女性期刊《女铎报》,而且用中文撰写、翻译了18种小说作品。她的小说将宗教传播、女性教育和儿童教育三者融合在一起,旨在提升女子修养,引导她们治理家务、教育孩子、劝善信教。亮乐月在将西方女性意识和教育理念灌输到中国的同时,也把西方大量优秀的儿童文学作品译介到中国,并培养了一批中国女性作者和译者,在中国近代文学史上留下了浓墨重彩的一笔。After the outbreak of the Anti - Japanese War, the surrounding areas of Huizhou were occupied by Japanese. Consequently, exchange of goods and materials became difficult and prices rose substantially. Confronted with the social changes, the civil societies and the national government established a benign mechanism of interaction to ensure the social stability of Huizhou. But when the state power inappropriately stepped in and considerably encroached on the folk strength, sharp contradic- tions arose and sometimes became unbridgeable. As the War continued, the National Government gradually strengthened its com- prehensive control of the grassroots societies in order to consolidate its legitimacy, and a huge crisis lurked in the seemingly stable social order in Shexian.
