摘　　要：代谢组学是继基因组学、转录组学和蛋白质组学之后新近发展起来的一门学科,是系统生物学的重要组成部分,被认为是"组学"研究的最终方向。它能用反映整体的代谢物图直接认识生命体的生理和生化状态,因此能提供区别于其他"组学"而来的大量信息。在中药现代化研究中,代谢组学方法和技术的应用具有广阔的发展前景,尤其是在中药整体药效评价、中药活性成分研究及中药安全性研究等方面具有重要理论意义和应用价值。Metabonomics, a newly developing subject secondary to genomics, transcriptomics, and pro- teomics, is an important constituent part of systems biology. It is believed to be the final direction of the systems biology. It can be directly applied to understand the physiological and biochemical states by its ＂metabolome pro- file＂ as a whole. Therefore, it can provide a huge amount of information different from those originating from other ＂omics＂. In the modernization of Chinese materia medica research, the application of metabonomics methods and technologies has a broad potential for future development. Especially it is of important theoretical significance and application value in holistic efficacies evaluation, active ingredients studies, and safety research of Chinese materia medica.
