摘 要:元小说的元素、科幻小说的色彩以及黑色幽默的基调是美国战后作家冯内古特的《五号屠场》中被公认的后现代特征。本文通过发掘以上后现代特征的现实主义源头,指出它们在这部小说中的实际应用与其本身作为后现代主义特征的差异,论证出这些带有"后现代"特征的创作手法并非是冯内古特刻意追求实验文学创作的成果,而是他为深刻传达反战主题,以及为表达其内心深处的人文主义关怀而努力寻求出的最贴切的方式。The elements of metafiction, science fiction as well as black humor are widely acknowledged as typieal postnmdern- ist features of Slaughterhouse-Five by the American post-war writer Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. The present paper aims at unearthing the realistic origins of the postmodernist techniques in this novel and their inappropriateness as its labels both in application and in effects, and thus proves that Vonnegut' s unique writing style in Slaughterhouse-Five is not necessarily the ouleome of his intentional experiment in literary writing; instead, it is the most appropriate way he has found to expose the evil ot ars and to express his deep concern for the evanescent humanity in the human society.
