From Information to Knowledge: Theoretical Study of Information Demand

摘　　要：以泰勒的四层次信息需求模型为核心,研究基于知识而不是基于信息的信息需求理论,探索信息检索系统设计的信息需求。从信息需求的8个相关概念着手,提出6个命题假设,将信息检索与知识形成连接在一起,指出信息需求由4个层次构成;信息检索过程中用户信息需求不发生变化,而是用户选择调查的主题碎片发生演变和转变;信息检索中信息需求演变过程是知识形成过程。Taking Taylor’s 4-level model of information demand as the core,this article studies the theory of information demand based on knowledge rather than based on information.The article explores the information demand in the design of the information retrieval system.Proceeding with the 8 related concepts of information demand,the article puts forward 6 tentative propositions,links information retrieval with knowledge formation,and points out that information demand consists of 4 levels,user information demand in the information retrieval process does not change,only the fragments of the topic selected by the user to investigate evolve and change,and the evolution process of information demand in information retrieval is the process of knowledge formation.
