摘　　要：社会转型时期,群体性事件的多发与频发对构建和谐社会将产生不利影响,也是国家和社会必须面对和解决的重大社会问题。公安机关担负着维护社会治安、保护人民生命财产安全和打击犯罪的重要使命,必然在群体性事件的处置中发挥重要作用,扮演着重要角色。然而,对于公安机关在处置群体性事件中角色如何定位却存在诸多认识误区,导致公安机关在处置群体性事件中不能充分发挥作用。本文从分析公安机关在处置群体性事件中的任务入手,对公安机关在群体性事件处置中的角色进行清晰的界定,以期为公安机关在群体性事件的处置中充分发挥职能提供依据。In the period of social transformation, the frequency of group events will make adverse effect on the construction of harmonious society. It is a significant social problem that must be faced and resolved by the state and society. The public security organs bear the important missions of the maintenance of social security, protecting the people＇s lives and property security and fighting crime. It inevitable plays an important role in the disposal of the group event. However, there are many misunderstanding about the role＇ played by the public security organ in the treatment of group event, which makes the public security organ cannot give full play to the role in the disposal of the group event. This paper, from the analysis of public security organs＂ task of disposing group event, gives clear definition to their role, so as to provides the basis for the public security organ to play its full function in the disposal of the group event.
