摘　　要：生态需水的研究在国内外已经成为一个热点问题。水是新疆生态环境与经济发展最大的制约因子,严重的生态环境问题使得生态需水随着西部开发受到广泛的关注。新疆生态环境脆弱,是生态需水研究的主要地区。介绍了国内外对生态需水的定义,讨论了干旱区植被生态需水的计算方法及在新疆的应用,并对新疆生态需水的研究成果进行总结。最后,提出当前生态需水研究中所存在的问题。Nowadays,the ecological water requirement has become a hot research topic both a home and abroad. Water is one of the biggest fac- tors to restrict the development of ecology and economy in Xinjiang. Ecological water requirement has received wide attention for its serious eco- environmental problems along with the west development. With fragile eco-environment ,Xinjiang is the major region in research of ecological wa- ter requirements. This paper briefly introduced the domestic and foreign definition of ecological water requirements, discussed the calculation method of vegetation water demand in the arid area and its application in Xinjiang,then summarized the research findings of ecological water re- quirements in Xinjiang,and finally presented the existing problems in current research of ecological water requirements.
