固化速度对聚硫橡胶压缩性能的影响

摘  要:通过调节胺催化剂的用量,研究了固化速度对聚硫橡胶(PSF)压缩性能的影响.测试了不同固化速度试样的拉伸强度、压缩永久形变、压缩循环性能,并以溶胀测试进行辅证.此外,还采用无机碱调节MnO2的pH值改变固化速率,讨论了其与胺催化效果的差异.结果表明固化较快的试样,在数天内有稳定的拉伸强度,而其压缩永久形变性能却不如较慢固化速度的试样,溶胀实验也得到了一致的结论.要获得良好的压缩性能需调节适中的反应速度.Polysulfide rubbers (PSF) as good adhesives and sealants to multiple materials have been commercial applied for several decades. They are marked by the high resistance to the radiation, good low temperature properties, and low water-vapour transmission. However, the compression behaviors of PSF have less been discussed before research work. In this paper, the influence of the curing rate on the compression behavior of the polysulfide (PSF) rubber was studied by controlling the loading of the amine catalyst. The tensile property, compression permanent set and the cyclic compression performances were investigated. The different catalytic effects of the amine catalyst and the pH value of curing agent (MnO2) adjusted by NaOH were discussed simultaneously. Curing times tested by dielectric analyzer (DEA) varied from 140-2200 min by changing the addition of catalyst; however the mechanical behaviors exhibited growth in the much longer period. The results showed that the fast curing samples obtained stably tensile properties in 14 days; however their compression behavior kept increasing more than one month. Obviously, the compression performances of fast curing samples were not as good as the slow curing ones. The results from swelling tests showed the fast curing samples had the larger M~ (average molecular weight between two effect cross-linking points) indicating the lower cross-linking degrees, corresponding to the worse compression behavior of the fast curing samples The compression cyclic experiment as another important critical test exhibited the correspondence conclusions, which can evaluate the compression property in a short time by observing the declining of the compression repeating cycles. Conclusions have been drawn from the above results that it is necessary to control a proper curing rate to ensure the good compression performance.
