Objective :To explore the expression and clinical significance of Pgp, TS, GST-π, Topo Ⅱ and Ki-67 in invasive breast cancer biopsies. Methods:The expressions of Pgp, TS, GST-π, Topo Ⅱ and Ki-67 in 267 specimens of invasive breast cancer were examined by Envision immunohistochemistry. The relationship between the expression of these five proteins and the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of breast cancer patients were analyzed. Results:Among 267 patients, the Ki-67 was 27.73% +21.85%, the positive rate of Pgp, TS, GST-π,and Topo II was 69.29%, 64.04%, 23.60% and 29.21%, respectively. There were significant correlations between Ki-67, GST-π, Topo Ⅱ expression and ER, PR expression; the Ki-67 expression and Pgp expression were associated with tumor size; Pgp expression was positively correlated with TS and GST-π expression; Topo Ⅱ expression was negatively related to TS expression, positively related to Ki-67expression. Conclusion:The expressions of Pgp, TS, GST-π, Topo Ⅱ and Ki-67 in breast cancer patients are correlated; combined detection is essential to clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.
