摘　　要：美国公众通过以手投票或以脚投票两种公共选择机制进行高等教育供给决策,对公立高等教育供给的区域差异产生了重要影响。从公共选择的角度研究美国公立高等教育供给行为,对我国各级政府明确高等教育供给责任,缩小高等教育区域差距,减少效率损失有重要的借鉴意义。American public decision on the supply of higher education service is made by hand-voting or foot-voting mechanism,which deeply shapes the regional difference of the supply of public higher education.The research on the regional supply of American public higher education from the perspective of public choice would shed lights on Chinese governments of all levels to clarify the responsibility of the supply of higher education,reduce the regional difference of higher education,and avoid the lost of efficiency.
