摘　　要：罗伯特.佩恩.沃伦作品思想的一个重要方面是探索现代人"自我分裂"的成因和"完整的人"的整合途径,本文借鉴文学伦理学批评方法通过对其小说代表作《国王的人马》的重新解读,认为沃伦这一思想实质是对现代人如何建构伦理秩序的自觉探讨,他关于人只有通过道德自我完善才能成为"完整的人"的观点本质上映证伦理价值对于人类生存和发展的终极意义。One important idea in the works by Robert Penn Warren is to explore the causes of the ＂divided self＂ of modem people and the ways to ＂a person of wholeness＂. In the light of the per- spective of ethical literary criticism, I focus on his masterpiece All the King＂ s Man and argue that this idea is the result of Warren＇ s consciousl probe for an ethical order for human beings. The view that through ethical self-perfection people can become spiritually integrated actually testifies the ultimate significance of ethical value to human race.
