摘　　要：美国后现代主义大师约翰.巴思在小说《路的尽头》中,运用戏仿手法,嘲讽了20世纪50年代美国社会如火如荼的存在主义及弗洛伊德主义哲学思潮;进而揭示出存在主义并非医治美国社会危机时期人们心理紊乱的妙方,而弗氏理论不仅为青年男女的随意性行为提供依据,而且导致婚姻家庭中的性混乱。The End of the Road is John Barth＇ s postmodemist masterpiece. Applying the method of parody, Barth sneers at and negates the philosophies of existentialism and Freudianism prevailing in America in the 1950s, revealing that existentialism is absolutely not a catholicon that cures the psychological disorder of the people in the period of social crisis ; Freudianism not only provides theoretical basis for the free illicit sexual relationship of the unmarried young men and women but also leads to the sexual disorder in the married families.
