摘　　要：阐述了防震减灾工作在中国西部大开发战略中的地位和作用 ,做好西部大开发战略中防震减灾工作的指导思想以及西部防震减灾工作的现状。In this paper, the authors give a description of the place and role of the work of earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction in the large scale development strategy for the western part of China, depict the guiding ideology for doing well the work of earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction in the large scale development strategy for the western part of China, point out the status quo of and the problems existing in the work of earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction, and put forward some suggestions in the end.
