摘　　要：以男子足球队在国际足联的积分作为国际足球比赛成绩的衡量,从宏观层面对影响国家足球成绩的因素进行了实证分析。研究发现,国家足球成绩受经济、人口、地理、社会等多方面影响,经济发展水平与足球成绩呈倒U型关系。良好的青少年培训是国家足球取得优异成绩的基础保证,而主办世界杯对国家足球成绩并无明显益处。The writers of this paper conduct a macroscopic and empirical study of the factors that influence the national performance in international soccer games. Using the FIFA scores of men＇s soccer team as the measure for the international soccer performance, the research reveals the multi-faceted determinants for national soccer performance include economy, population, geography, and society of a country. Particular findings are that an inverted U-shape relationship exists between soccer performance and GDP, that soccer training for youth is also a key, and that hosting the World Cup has no significant impact on national soccer performance.
