摘　　要：赵本夫是新时期较早尝试运用象征进行小说创作实践的作家。他的小说象征呈现三种叙事形态:现实象征,关注社会历史,在对日常生活的描写中蕴涵着深层意义;文化象征,描写土地与自然的关系,思考生态失衡带来的后果;哲理象征,探究人性与生命,表达出对整体人类发展命运的关怀。作者对象征的青睐源于他的美学追求,同时与当时西方文学思潮的传播影响有关。Zhao Benfu is an early writer to practice symbolic techniques in novel writing. His novel symbolism is represented in three narrative forms. The realistic symbolism in daily life description shows his concerns for the social history; the cultural symbolism involves his reflections on the conse- quences of ecological imbalance through his depiction of the relations between land and nature; the philosophical symbolism, by exploring human nature and life, expresses his concern for human devel- opment as a whole. Associated with the spread of Western literature at that time, Zhao＇s preference for symbol is also motivated by his own aesthetic pursuit
