摘　　要：针对传统误差扩散中的"龟纹"和"伪轮廓"现象,在基于标准误差扩散算法的基础上,提出一种基于方向相关性的误差扩散算法。根据图像的梯度值把图像分为背景区域和边缘区域。在背景区域采用标准的误差扩散算法进行半色调处理,在边缘区域采用基于方向相关性的算法进行半色调处理。该算法既保持了标准误差扩散算法的优点,又减少了伪轮廓现象。This paper proposes error diffusion algorithm based on directional correlation which aims at re- ducing distortions and false contourint roduced by traditional error diffusion. In this algorithm, the image is di- vided into background regions and edge regions according to the image gradient. The standard F - S error diffu- sion algorithm is applied to the background regions, and correlation - based algorithm is used for the edge regions in the halftoning process. This algorithm not only maintains the advantages of the standard error diffusion algo- rithm, but also reduces the false contour.
