摘　　要：农业科普期刊肩负着向农民读者传播科技文化知识信息的历史重任。农民读者是具有特殊意义的阅读群体,其阅读特点对农业科普期刊内容提供的读者适用性提出了内在要求。只有在科学性、实用性、政策性、专门性、时效性与地域性、通俗性与趣味性等方面下功夫,其内容才能真正切合农民读者需要,从而优化传播力,发挥其服务"三农"的独特功能。Agricultural popular science periodicals shoulder the historical responsibility of disseminating scientific and cultural knowledge information to the farmer readers. The farmer readers are reading groups which are of special significance. Their reading characteristics put forward internal requirements to readers＇ adaptability provided by agricultural popular science periodicals＇ content. Therefore, agricultural popular science periodicals must strive to do a good job in the science, practicality, policy, technicality, timeliness and regionality, popularity and interesting of the content, so that their content can be really suit the needs of the farmer readers, to optimize transmission power and to play a unique role in serving ＂three agriculture＂.
