摘　　要：文章论述了21世纪新图书馆运动产生的社会环境:后现代思潮和信息网络环境的国际背景,推进政治民主化及和谐社会建设的国内环境;回顾了国际图书馆发展历程中的思想选择及我国图书馆几次重要思想启蒙。论述了21世纪新图书馆运动是图书馆思想发展中的一个重要阶段,指出其重要的思想史意义。This paper expounds the social environment of new library movement in 21st century , the international back- ground of the modernism ideological trend and the information network environment and the domestic environment to promote the democratization of politics and the construction of harmonious society. The intellectual choice in course of the development of inter- national library and several important enlightenments of Chinese library are looked back. As an important stage of library intellectual development new library movement in 21st century has the important significance of the intellectual history.
