中西方远程开放教育图书馆支持服务比较研究

摘　　要：本文重点讨论中西方高等院校图书馆至今没有在远程开放教育中发挥重要作用的原因及其存在的问题。文章介绍了远程开放教育的特点，分析西方高等院校图书馆没能在满足远程学生信息需求方面发挥重要作用的原因，介绍了西方高等院校图书馆为远程学生提供的支持服务；文章介绍了中国远程开放教育图书馆的发展状况，分析了中国电大系统图书馆建设所面临的问题和发展近期规划；最后针对中国和西方国家高等院校图书馆所存在的问题为图书馆未来的发展提出一些有益的建议。The focus of this article is to discuss the reasons why the libraries of the universities arid colleges, bothin China and the western countries, have not yet played a role important enough in the open distance education, and the existing problems. This article introduces characteristics of open distance education; analyzes thereasons why the libraries of universities and colleges in the West have not met the distant learners needs ofacquiring information; introduces the supporting service supplied by the libraries of universities and collegesin the West for the distant learners; introduces the present situation of development of the libraries in theopen distance education in Chiria; analyzes the problems in the recent plans of the library construction of theChina radio and TV uriiversities system. And in the end, some heneficial suggestions are put forward as forthe future of the libraries, regarding the problems existing in the libraries of the universities and colleges inChina and the West.
