摘　　要：尼克·亚当斯是海明威最初创作的自传性很强的形象,作者通过十几篇短篇小说描述了尼克从少年到成年的一系列成长故事。尼克作为"准则英雄"的雏形,他的预示性极强,研究尼克这一人物有助于我们更好地理解海明威作品中"准则英雄"形成的客观因素。Nick Adams is an autobiographic image in Hemingwei＇ s original creations, the author described Nick ＇ s growth from his teen - age years to his adult years through more than ten short stories. As the rudiment of a ＂Code Hero＂, Nick was strongly portentous, by which we can have a better understanding of the objective fac- tors froming the ＂Code Heroes＂ in Hemingway＇ s writings.
