摘　　要：1913年,纽约军械库展向美国首次集中介绍欧洲＂现代＂艺术,重点展出了立体主义和野兽派;所有美国艺术家对展览过目难忘。1981年,发生了一个与此相似的时刻,应美国国务院邀请,波士顿博物馆（MFA）向中国介绍了美国绘画原作及＂现代＂艺术,突出呈现了抽象表现主义和色域绘画;所有中国艺术家对展览过目难忘。In 1913,the Armory Show in New York introduced ＂modern＂ European art to the United States for the first time in a major way,with emphasis on the Cubists and the Fauves;no American artist could ignore what he or she saw.This found a parallel moment in 1981,when the Museum of Fine Arts,Boston（MFA）- invited by the U.S.Department of State-introduced original American painting and ＂modern＂ art to China,which highlighted Abstract Expressionism and Color Field painting;no Chinese artist could ignore what he or she saw.
