摘　　要：英语类图书是高校图书馆馆藏的重点,对其进行正确的分类标引是实现资源共享和方便读者检索的重要保证。《中国图书馆分类法》(简称《中图法》)(第5版)在《中图法》(第4版)的基础上,通过新增类目、增改注释等方法对H31类目进行了修订和完善。但是在使用《中图法》(第5版)对英语类图书进行分类时,仍有一些细节需要完善。在《中图法》(第5版)修订时,修订者应删改不当类目和注释,并为专业英语图书单独立类。English books are the emphasis of the collection in university libraries, the correct classification is the important guarantee of realizing the resource sharing and the convenient retrieval for readers. Chinese Library Classification （CLC） （5th edition） is revised and improved in the category of H31 based on CLC （4th edition） through increasing new categories and revising annotations. But there are still some details need to be perfected when we use CLC （5th edition） to classify English books. Therefore, redactors should delete and revise improper categories and annotations at the time of revising CLC （5th edition）, and set the professional category of English books.
