摘　　要：利用T10 6数值预报及常规气象资料对 1999年 4月 2 3～ 2 4日西北强沙尘暴天气进行分析 ,结果表明 ,此次沙尘暴发生在层结不稳定的大气状态下 ,西风急流区次级环流是引发沙尘暴的动力和热力机制 ,强沙尘暴发生在西风急流入口区南侧。A severe dustdevil, happened in northwest China on April 23-24,1999, was analyzed by using the normal meteorological data and NWP data of T106. The result showed that the severe dustdevil happened in state ofunsteady atmosphere, sub-circumfluence in westerly jet region was the main thermodynamics reason, severe dustdevil happened at the south side of westerly jet exit region.
