摘　　要：The matriarch＇s room is the center of any Mosuo family＇s house; it is the room in which the family dines, entertains guests, discusses family business, and worships the gods. The square hearth in the matriarch＇s room symbolizes the peace and warmth in the family. The wooden pillars in the room tend to be dark, especially after years of smoke emanating from the fireplace. The cabinets and kitchenware, near the hearth, are also dark in color. The hearth is the only light thing in the room. When in the glow of a fire, the room is yellowish, which symbolizes the cycle of life of the Mosuo people.祖母屋是摩梭房屋的中心点，是整个家庭饮食、款客、议事、祭祀、敬神的核心部分，而屋内那一方火塘，就好似一块象形文字，无论晨昏，也无论聚散，镌刻的都是家族的祥和与温暖。那—方黄灿灿的火塘．就像是一首抑扬顿挫的曲调，黑暗被点燃，整个房间被诗意的光辉照耀着，照耀着摩梭人生生息息、明明灭灭。
