摘　　要：地形图采用一定颜色的点、线、面、文字等几何图形的集合，这些点、线、面几何图形叫地图符号。因此地图符号广义的是指表示各种事物现象的线划图形，色彩，数学语言和记注的总和，也称为地图符号系统。狭义的地图符号是指在图上表示制图对象空间分布，数量，质量等特征的标志，信息载体，包括线划符号，色彩图形和注记。因此地图符号是地图的语言，它不仅能显示地图的形状、大小和位置，而且还能反映出地物的质量，数量及其相互关系。The topographic map collection of a certain color of the geometry of point, line, surface, text, 1~int, line, surface geometry, called the map symbol.Therefore generalized map symbol refers to a variety of things, the phenomenon of line to draw graphics, colors, the sum of the mathematical language and Hutchison note,also known as a map symbol system. Narrow map symbol refers to the mapping object spatial distribution,quantity,quality and other characteristics of signs, information carriers, including DLG symbols, colors, graphics and annotation on the graph.Map symbol is the language of the map, it can not only show the shape, size and location of the map, but also reflects the quality, auantitv.and their mutual relations of the surface features.
