摘　　要：舌根癌是头颈部较少见的恶性肿瘤,疗效较差,我科自1975～1984年间共收治了42例,其中36例采用单纯外放射,6例采用手术与放射综合治疗,本文通过回顾性分析、总结,以求探索对本病的最佳治疗方案。A total of 42 patients with histologically proved carcinoma of the base of tonguewere treated from 1975 to 1984. The UICC TNM classification system of 1987 was used.80% of the tumors were T_3 or T_4.36 patients were treated by external radiation alone,and 6 by surgery plus external radiation. The 5-year survival rate for these two groupswere 33% and 66% respectively. This survival difference is related to poor local control,eancer histological types,methods of treatment, size of primary tumor,and the occurrenceof lymph node metastasis. The authors suggest that external radiation plus surgery orinterstitial therapy should improve the survival rate of early stage cases;as for theadvance cases. aggressive multimodality treatment plus some kind of chemotherapyshould be beneficial.
