试论张伯苓的高等教育思想及当代价值

摘  要:张伯苓是中国著名爱国辜义教育家,南开大学的创办者,担任南开大学校长多年。他一生致力于中国的教育事业,主张教育救国,形成了其独特的教育理念。张伯苓在长期的教育实践中批判吸取西方教育的精华,走“本土化”的高等教育发展之路,形成了他系统的高等教育思想,如高等教育的办学理念、高等教育目的、高等教育功能、高等教育管理等等。张伯苓的高等教育思想具有极强的当代价值,为我国高等教育的可持续发展提供了重要参考和借鉴。Zhang Bo-ling was a famous potriotic educator in China. He was the founder of Nankai University and served as Nankai's principal for many years. He devoted his life to the cause of education, and claimed saving the nation by education,formed its unique educational thought. Zhang Bo-ling criticized and absorbed the essence of western education in the process of long-term educational practice, insisted on the development of the "localization" of higher education, formed a system of higher education thought, such as the idea, the purpose, the function, the management of higher education and so on. Zhang Bo-ling's higher education thought is of contemporary values, and provides important reference for sustainable development of higher education in China.
