摘　　要：严歌苓的《第九个寡妇》一经出版便引起了学界的极大关注。研究者们多从文化批评,特别是女性主义的角度对这部作品进行阐释。其实,优秀的文本是具有极大的被解释的潜力的。文章自觉地采用结构主义思路,配合叙事学等理论和方法,试图探索出《第九个寡妇》艺术魅力形成的原因。Yah Geling＇s The Ninth Widow has roused great concern in academic circles since its publication. It has been analyzed and interpreted by many scholars from the following perspectives： cultural criticism or feminism. In fact, an excellent text has tremendous potential to be interpreted. This paper attempts to probe the reasons of the artistic enchantment of The Ninth Widow by means of Structuralism and Narratolgy.
