摘　　要：加入WTO将对中国的社会、经济、文化等方面产生一定的影响，进而也会对城市的发展产生影响。在研究确定城市性质时要重新进行认真的分析；加强对推进城市化发展因素的分析；重视环境规划和基础设施建设规划；进一步加强规划的编制、实施和城市管理工作。The city planners should be aware that the entry into WTO will affect the development of cities in China. We should re-study the nature of city, strengthen the analyses on the factors in promoting urbanization process,pay high attention to environment and infrastructure, and reinforce the making of city plans, implement and city management.
