摘　　要：随着嵌入式系统的应用越来越广泛,嵌入式系统存储和处理的数据量不断增加,数据安全性和可靠性成为嵌入式系统设计阶段需要考虑的重要因素之一。介绍了伯克利数据库(Berkeley DB)的基本原理,并给出了基于Vx-Works系统的Berkeley DB的应用方法,最后通过一个设计实例,对比了传统文件操作和数据库操作在存储空间和读写时间上的性能比较。Along with the embedded system applies more and more widely,the data that embedded system stores and processes increase continuously,the data safety and credibility become one of the important factors that the embedded system need to be considered in the design stage.This paper introduces the basic principle of Berkeley database（DB）,and gives the application method of Berkeley DB based on VxWorks system,finally compares the traditional document operation and database operation in performances of storage space and write/read time.
