Scorpions Inspire Chinese Scientists in Making Bionic Non-eroding Surfaces for Machinery

摘　　要：Erosion exists diffusely in machinery,metallurgy,energy,building materials,aviation,spaceflight, and many other industrial fields.It has become one of the important reasons of material damage and equipment failure.A series of issues caused by erosion have been paid more and more extensive attentions by academic researchers and applied engineers. Recently,Prof.Han Zhiwu and his colleagues from Jilin University in China published an article in Langmuir (2012,28,2914—2921),titled 'Erosion Resistance of Bionic Functional Surfaces Inspired from Desert Scorpions',Erosion exists diffusely in machinery, metallurgy, energy, building materials, aviation, spaceflight, and many other industrial fields. It has become one of the important reasons of material damage and equipment failure. A series of issues caused by erosion have been paid more and more extensive attentions by academic researchers and applied engineers.
