摘　　要：GEO卫星星体相对固定、覆盖面积大、多普勒频移小、技术相对成熟简单,是重要的卫星发展领域之一。文章重点介绍目前国际上比较先进的GEO卫星移动通信系统:Inmarsat、Thuraya、Terrastar和Skyterra,包括这些系统的特点和发展趋势,最后对我国GEO卫星移动通信系统的发展和趋势进行简单的描述。GEO satellite communication system is one of the most important development field for its steady attitude, large coverage area, little Dopplershift, nature techniques and simple operation et al. Several advanced GEO satellite mobile communication systems, including In- marsat, Thuraya, Terrastar and Skyterra, and their characters and developing trends were de- tailedly introduced in this paper. The current development and the future trend of domestic GEO satellite mobile communication systems were also briefly described.
