摘　　要：党的十六届五中全会提出了推进社会主义新农村建设的构想,新农村建设的主要内容之一就是为农村提供良好的信息服务。农业院校作为农业科技成果的供给方在提供信息服务方面具有独特的优势。从建设的背景和意义出发,详细阐述了建设信息服务系统的设想和预期目标,以期为新农村信息服务提供理论和实践基础。An idea that to propel the construction of the new socialist rural at the Fifth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of the Party was put forward. The main content for new rural construction was to provide good information service. Agricultural colleges as the supply-side of agricultural science and technology have a unique advantage in that. Based on the background and significance of the construction, the establishment of the information service system ideas and antici-pated target was expounded. It was to provide theoretical and practical basis for the new rural information service.
