论美国新城建设及其对中国的启示

摘　　要：近年来,各国大城市均出现了城市人口拥挤、交通阻塞、环境污染等问题,城市的未来在哪里成为人们思考的重要问题之一。新城作为美国解决城市问题的途径之一,其建设思想主要来源于英国霍华德所提出的田园城市。美国联邦政府与私人房地产开发商采纳了这一主张,尝试建设新城,但结果喜忧参半。通过对美国新城的考察,总结经验教训,可以为我国目前的新城建设提供若干启示。Recently, many problems happen in the large cities, such as population growth, housing shortages, traffic congestion, environmental pollution, etc., Where is the urban future become a important question？ New Towns as a way America deal with the urban problems, which is mainly from Howard’s garden city ideas. The American federal government and private real estate developer learn from the England and develop New Towns in America, but the results are mixed. Through the study to promote the development of the New Towns in China.
