摘　　要：北约将在西欧部署新型导弹成为1979—1987年英国和平运动的导火线,当然,该运动的爆发还与英国国内的形势与政策密切关联。这次和平运动具有与1958—1964年核裁军运动不同的特点。和平运动对英美两国政府施加了一定的压力,在吸引英国公共舆论方面获得部分的成功,但没有改变英国政府基本的防务政策。它的作用在于推动了人们对核战争的反思与和平意识的提高。The NATO was going to deploy new missiles,which led to the Peace Movement of Britain from 1979 to 1987.The movement,different from the 1958-1964 CND,was also attributed to the domestic situation and policy in Britain.Although it put some pressure on the Britain and America as well as captured the public attention to some degree,it failed to change the basic policy of defense of the UK.Besides,it promoted a rethinking of nuclear war and an awareness of peace among people.
