摘　　要：地图语言是地图制图学理论的常用术语,多种地图产品如多媒体地图、电子导航地图等的出现使得传统地图信息传输方式的研究需要进一步扩展。分析地图语言和自然语言的概念,分别从视觉、听觉及触觉方面讨论两种语言在信息传输方式上的异同点。借鉴自然语言的多通道传输方式,探讨地图信息传输的多感知表现形式,为地图符号设计提供新的思路。Cartographic language is regarded as a common term in cartography theory. Many cartographic products （e. g. multimedia map, electronic navigation map） are being raised, so the extensive research of traditional cartographic communication mode is necessary. By analyzing cartographic language and natural language, two languages are discussed in the information transmission modes of differences and similarities from vision, hearing and touch. On the basis of multi-channel transmission mode of natural language, multi-sense forms in the process of cartographic communication are discussed in this paper. Some ideas for map symbol design are provided.
