摘　　要：2012年是欧元进入流通领域10周年,然而欧债危机的持续发酵极大地拖累了欧盟经济的复苏,并引发欧元危机。欧元面临着前所未有的严峻考验。欧元区债务问题的严重性和作为主权国家联合体的"特性"使欧盟的应对很艰难,但成员国的根本利益和长远利益决定了欧盟势必全力应对危机,捍卫欧元。作为欧洲一体化深入发展的结果和标志,欧元诞生的意义重大而深远,已远超过经济范畴,其承载的重要"政治使命"是欧洲持久的和平、团结与发展。The year of 2012 marks the 10th anniversary of the euro going into circulation. However, the aggravating European debt crisis has imposed a heavy burden on EU's economic recovery and sparked off a euro crisis. The euro is now facing an unprecedented and severe test. The seriousness of euro zone debt problems and the 'feature' of the EU as a conglomeration of sovereign states have made the EU difficult to respond instantly. But the fundamental interests and the long-term interests of its member states will certainly encourage the EU's resolve to do its best in dealing with the crisis and defending the euro. As the outcome and symbol of EU's deepening integration, the creation of euro has enormous and profound significance, going well beyond the economic realms. It carries on with the important 'political mission' of lasting peace, unity and development of Europe.
