国外图书馆基于Second Life的服务实践研究

摘　　要：作为因特网的3D虚拟世界应用,Second Life以其独特的优势为图书馆在虚拟世界中开展服务创造了便利,吸引了国外大量的图书馆参与其中推动相关服务的开展。文章介绍了Second Life的概念和主要特征,分析了国外图书馆基于Second Life开展的合作创建SL图书馆服务、开展学术图书馆服务、构建虚拟教学环境等典型服务应用实践,并从硬件需求、资金压力、馆员素质需求、隐私和法律问题等方面对图书馆基于Second Life的服务实践进行了反思和展望。As a 3D virtual world application,SecondLife provides a convenient for libraries service in virtual world with its unique advantages and attracts a large number of foreign libraries involved to promote related services.After introducing SecondLife＇s definition and main features,this paper analyses four typical service practices of foreign libraries based on SecondLife.It also rethinks and forecasts libraries service based on SecondLife from different aspects such as hardware requirements,financial pressures,demand for quality of librarians,privacy and legal issues,etc.
