摘　　要：美国作家辛顿的《局外人》是一部以青少年口语撰写的小说,形象生动的比喻、措辞、俚语和青少年特色话语随处可见。青少年话语的文学价值体现在对青少年身份的构建和语言本身的灵活生动上;其社会学意义在于它从话语层面展示了弱势群体身份与话语的关系;其心理学价值在于它反映了青少年追求新颖时尚、自由创新的心境;其语言学价值在于它让街头青少年口语进入了文学的大雅之堂。The Outsiders is a novel written by the American author S. E. Hinton in adolescent oral English. Vivid slang ex- pressions and adolescent discourse are characteristics of the novel, which contributes to the valid construction of the identity of the young people living in the slum. Its sociological value lies in the demonstration of the relation between social identity and discourse, its psychological value in the manifestation of adolescents＇ bent for novelty, creativity and freedom, and its linguistic significance in initiating adolescent discourse into the pantheon of literature.
